A belt press extracts juice by squeezing fruit pulp between two continuously moving filter belts.
1. Feeding and Distribution
Crushed fruit pulp is continuously pumped into the feed hopper and evenly spread onto the lower filter belt.
2. Wedge Zone Pre-Pressing
The pulp enters a downward-curving wedge zone, where gentle pressure removes free juice and forms a stable filter cake.
3. Main Pressing
The filter cake moves between the upper and lower belts through several pressing rollers. The belts follow an S-shaped path, gradually increasing pressure and shear force as the roller diameter decreases. This progressive squeezing effectively extracts juice from the fruit pulp.
4. Residue Discharge and Belt Cleaning
At the discharge end, wear-resistant scrapers remove the pressed fruit residue from the filter belts. Meanwhile, a high-pressure spray system continuously washes both belts for the next pressing cycle. This cleaning process helps maintain stable and efficient juice extraction.
5. Final Pressure
We also provide models that include an additional pneumatic or hydraulic pressure roller at the final pressing stage. It provides higher pressure than belt tension alone, helping improve juice yield and extraction efficiency.
