How an Automatic Egg Washing Machine Works

Egg Feeding

Eggs are placed onto a conveyor manually or automatically from egg trays.
The conveyor gently transports the eggs into the washing section.

Pre-Rinsing

Warm water removes loose dirt, feathers, and dust.
Some machines use low-pressure spray nozzles.

Brush Cleaning

Soft nylon brushes rotate around the eggs.
The brushes gently scrub away manure and stains without damaging the shell.

Washing

Warm water (typically 35–45°C / 95–113°F) mixed with a food-grade egg washing detergent is sprayed onto the eggs.
