Carlos, the cooperative’s manager, wanted a different solution. He managed several thousand acres of farmland shared by more than a dozen families. The oil production line included seed cleaning, roasting, screw pressing, and crude oil filtration. A batch refining system handled degumming, deacidification, bleaching, and deodorization. A semi-automatic machine completed the bottling process.
The rapeseed oil press equipment cost less than 60% of a comparable European system, according to the project team. Its modular design also allowed the cooperative to expand the line as its business grew.

The equipment left Qingdao Port in the summer of 2025. It traveled by sea to Valencia before continuing by truck to Palencia. When the containers arrived, Carlos and several farmers gathered to inspect the machines.
