1000kg/h IQF freezing machine for strawberries in Mexico

Oliver from Mexico invested in a 1000 kg/h IQF freezing machine for strawberries. It is a fluidized bed freezer machine made by Foodline. In addition to strawberries, the IQF freezing equipment can also effectively handle other fruits and vegetables—such as blueberries, diced mango, and green peas—bringing greater flexibility to the production line.

Why use the IQF freezer machine?

1. No Sticking or Product Damage

The IQF freezer uses high-speed, low-temperature airflow from below to gently suspend and tumble individual strawberries. This fluidized freezing process keeps the fruit separated during freezing and quickly forms an ice layer on the surface, preventing strawberries from sticking together or forming clumps.

2. Preserves Fresh Quality

With rapid freezing at temperatures typically around -35°C, the IQF freezer forms small, uniform ice crystals inside the strawberries, reducing damage to their cellular structure. This helps preserve the fruit’s natural color, fresh flavor, texture, and nutritional value, so the strawberries remain close to their fresh quality after thawing.
